QUARTZFEST^*
A gathering of Amateur Radio Operators in RV's near Quartzite Arizona.

It is time to start making plans to join us for another informal RV and Ham Radio campout in the desert.

Quartzfest* 2009 is scheduled for Sunday January 18 through Saturday January 24 which coincides with the major winter events in Quartzsite.

Cliff and Virginia Haycock have agreed to be the organizers again for 2009.

Camping rules
We can camp free for up to 14 days on public land, which is overseen by the BLM. 

Important Issue- Anyone wishing to conduct commercial activities must have a permit from BLM. Those believed to be in violation may have their vehicle and property seized and are subject to prosecution. A BLM representative has said the yard sale is allowed but anyone offering a number of new items may be questioned. Such questioning could affect all of us. With this in mind, it seems prudent to not support or be involved in business activities without proper licensing.
This should not affect our regular campout activities... just something to be aware of when we get together.
